Philippines’ “Box Office Queen,” Liza Soberano makes her Hollywood debut in the horror-comedy LISA FRANKENSTEIN, directed by Zelda Williams. The film, written by Diablo Cody (think JUNO and JENNIFER’S BODY), follows a teen goth girl who reanimates a Victorian-Era corpse to make him the man of her dreams. The story is loosely based on Shelley’s novel Frankenstein, and stars Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse.
Liza Soberano plays a supporting role as Taffy, and just from the movie trailer alone, it looks like her character has plenty of screen time.
Soberano, who currently has 18.1 million followers on Instagram, was born in California and moved to Manila when she was 12. She made her breakthrough with the teleserye Forevermore opposite real-life boo Enrique Gil. Since then she has made her mark in Philippine entertainment starring in six films and garnering thirteen television credits to her name.
