The first episode of KWENTO-KWENTO PODCAST was released on May 25, 2020. Angela and KP had been friends since meeting through their mutual friend Faith in 2019, and during the pandemic, Angela would host watch parties on Zoom. KP had the idea of turning their long talks into a podcast and after a brainstorming session, KWENTO-KWENTO PODCAST was born.

The concept of Kwento-Kwento came to be through Angela’s love for storytelling and highlighting Filipino-American culture. For a while, KP and Angela would host the pod, along with the occasional special guest. One of their guests was the ever-bubbly and fascinating Tessa Medina whom Angela met after they both acted in an Off-Broadway play prior to the pandemic. KP and Angela decided to invite Tessa as a co-host, which she accepted. The trio then invited Edwin Diagon, a church-friend of Angela, as a guest of the pod, and Ed’s quick-witted humor instantly connected with the hosts (KP especially), and the Kwento-Kwento quartet was complete.
